Get hands-on help with Vocordia

Employees can follow this guide step by step - or open a ticket and wait for support.

Or they can finish inside the app.

Vocordia gives voice and cursor guidance directly inside the tools they already use - just say what they need, and Vocordia shows them where to click, step by step, without leaving the window.

How to Autofill in Excel

Excel's autofill works in two ways: the **fill handle** drags or extends patterns and formulas, and **Flash Fill** detects examples of how you want values to look and fills the rest.

Autofill with the fill handle

  1. Type a value or formula in a cell.
  2. Hover the bottom-right corner until you see a + (the fill handle).
  3. Click and drag down or across to fill; double-click the handle to fill down to the last adjacent row.

Use Series for sequences

  1. Type the first two values of a series (e.g. 1, 2 or Mon, Tue) in adjacent cells.
  2. Select both cells, then drag the fill handle—Excel continues the pattern.
  3. For more control, drag with the right mouse button and pick Series from the context menu (Linear, Growth, Date, AutoFill).

Flash Fill for text patterns

  1. In an empty column, type one or two examples of the output you want (e.g. extract first names from full names).
  2. Press Ctrl + E (or DataFlash Fill).
  3. Excel infers the pattern and fills the column.

Common gotchas

  • Flash Fill only works in a column adjacent to your source data.
  • Mixed manual edits in the column can stop Flash Fill—clear the column first if it gets confused.
