How to Create a QR Code in Canva
Canva has a built-in **QR Code** app that generates a scannable code from any URL and drops it straight onto your canvas. You can recolor it to fit the design.
Open the QR Code app
- Open or create a design.
- In the left sidebar, click Apps.
- Search QR Code and pick the official Canva QR Code app.
Generate the code
- In the QR Code panel, paste your URL.
- Optionally adjust the Background color and Foreground color to match the design.
- Click Generate code—the QR code appears on the canvas.
Position and resize
- Drag the QR code to its final location.
- Resize using the corner handles. Keep the QR area at least ~2x2 cm in print so phones can read it.
- Avoid placing text or images inside the code area.
Test before publishing
Scan the code with your phone camera before exporting or printing—Canva does not test the code for you, and a corrupted color contrast can break it.
Try it faster with guidance
Skip the app hunt—let Vocordia guide you through it with voice and on-screen cursor guidance so you can place the QR code in seconds and move on.
Had to scroll back or switch tabs a few times?
That's the hard way.
Next time, just say what you want - and let your cursor guide you step by step to the result.
