How to Create a Signature in Gmail
Gmail lets you save one or more signatures and pick which is the default for new emails and replies. You set everything up in **Settings**.
Open signature settings
- Open Gmail and click the gear icon → See all settings.
- Stay on the General tab and scroll to the Signature section.
- Click + Create new and give the signature a name (e.g. Personal, Work).
Format the signature
- Type your name, title, contact details, and any links.
- Use the formatting toolbar to style text, change color, or align.
- Click the image icon to insert a logo from Drive, by URL, or by upload.
Set defaults and save
- Under Signature defaults, pick which signature to use for New emails and Reply/forward.
- Tick Insert signature before quoted text if you want the signature directly under your reply.
- Scroll down and click Save Changes.
Manage multiple signatures
You can create extra signatures for different contexts and switch them per email via the pen icon at the bottom of any compose window.
