How to Create Recurring Tasks in Notion
Notion supports recurring tasks via **repeating database templates**: a template that auto-creates a new task on a schedule you set, with the due date shifted forward.
Open the database
- Open the database you use for tasks (or create one with
/database). - Make sure it has at least a Date property for due dates.
Create or edit a database template
- At the top right, click the down arrow next to New → + New template.
- Fill in the title (e.g. Weekly review), set the date property, and any other defaults.
Set the template to repeat
- Click the clock icon at the top of the template editor (Repeat).
- Choose Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Custom.
- Pick the day(s), time, and—if asked—how to handle the date property (e.g. Today, Tomorrow).
Confirm and let it run
Save the template. Notion will auto-create new tasks at the chosen cadence with the date property updated. Edit the schedule any time from the same clock icon.
Try it faster with guidance
Skip the trial-and-error—let Vocordia guide you through it with voice and on-screen cursor guidance so you can finish the recurring rule in one go.
