How to Upload a Font to Canva
Custom fonts live in the **Brand Kit** on Canva Pro/Teams. Once uploaded, your font shows up in every design's text picker alongside Canva's built-in fonts.
Check requirements first
- A Canva Pro or Teams plan is required for uploading custom fonts.
- Supported file types:
.otf,.ttf, and.woff. - You must have legal rights or a license to use the font.
Open the Brand Kit and upload
- From the Canva home page, click Brand in the left sidebar.
- Open the Brand Kit you want to add the font to.
- Scroll to Brand fonts and click Add new → Upload a font.
- Drag your
.otf/.ttf/.wofffile in, or pick it from the dialog.
Use the font in a design
- Open any design and add or select a text element.
- Click the font name in the top toolbar.
- Your uploaded font appears at the top under Brand kit fonts—click to apply.
Manage and remove fonts
Back in Brand Kit → Brand fonts, hover a font and click the trash icon to remove it. Renaming is done by replacing the file with a new upload.
Try it faster with guidance
Skip the menu maze—let Vocordia guide you through it with voice and on-screen cursor guidance so you can upload and apply your font in one pass.
